Gear
" The way I look and talk about gear can be summed up by one little motto". "Whether its Cheap or expensive....If it works for you, it works for you!"
Heres some of my personal buget friendly and more expensive gear options!
This is by far one of my favorite budget set ups that comes with a bit of history. I was introduced to a similar set up while I was in the Marine Corps and it works very well for what it is!
Heres the parts list:
The lower reciever, stock and optics are not included in this.
PSA FREEDOM AR-15 UPPER 5.56 16" CARBINE - $180
Midwest industries GEN2 TWO PIECE DROP-IN PICATINNY HANDGUARD - $152.95
Ergo grips ERGO M4 FORWARD RAIL- 89.99
What I love about this set up is that you are getting alot of different rifles throughout the years in one. You are getting a more or less M4 clone, an DD M4A1 FSP clone and you get some USMC history being that the ergo grips rail came on scene a while ago to bridge a gap that the M4 had of not enough rail space. Now I wouldnt run my IR laser on the ergo rail but its great for hand holds and lights/ pressure pads and above all, its super light weight.
This is my Daniel Defense M4A1 and its definitley one of my more expensive rifles. The thing I love the most about this rifle imparticularly along with the FSP model and even the MK18 is that its been tested and proven in combat for 20 years. You cant beat that. Along with the SOCOM barrel providing excellent accuracy this weapon system has only one downfall. Its weight. Its very robust and heavy to lug around on the range or better yet in combat. Never the less an amazing rifle!
